MAKING MOLD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SolarCat VESSELS

Prerequisites for starting our own production of SolarCat ships were achieved by establishing a project office, preparing project documentation and a mold for building vessels.

With this project, through the establishment of the project office, the preparation of project documentation and molds for shipbuilding, the preconditions for starting your own production of "SolarCat" ships. The project will be presented to customers through participation in international and domestic fairs, production of promotional material and via the web pages. The project solution of the "SolarCat" ship will be protected by intellectual property, and the results of the project will be presented at professional conferences and magazines.

Project goals:

  • Establishing project capacity for project development and implementation
  • Making molds for building SolarCat ships

In this way, iCat d.o.o. will start the production of ships for the transport of passengers, which will enable the establishment of shipping lines within protected navigation zones without emissions of harmful gases.

Interests were expressed by national parks and nature parks, cities such as Venice, Šibenik and Dubrovnik, and private shipping companies, and these are also the target  groups for this project.

The goals of the "SolarCat" project are directly related to the goals of the "solarCat" project, and we want to respond equally to the social challenges of smart, green and integrated transport. Synthesizing the answers to the set challenge within the economically self-sustainable model of maritime passenger transport, this project also represents a social innovation whose application provides the possibility of establishing maritime passenger transport in areas where this has not been possible so far.

At the same time, the following criteria were considered:

  • ecology, that is zero rates of harmful gas emissions
  • economic justification of passenger transport
  • high intensity of daily passenger transport
